What does the swing-arm bite indicator do?
It makes bites clearly visible, including drop-back bites, without relying solely on the rod tip.
Is the rod spike suitable for wind and rough seas?
Yes. Moving the sliding weight lets you adjust the indicator’s sensitivity to the wind, sea conditions and sinker weight.
Which rods is it compatible with?
The rod spike works with most surfcasting rods used for shore fishing. If you are unsure about your equipment, contact us.
Can I use it for night fishing?
Yes. The indicator provides visual bite detection by day and night, with a glow stick or light marker depending on the setup.
Does the product withstand salt and sand?
It is designed for marine use. Rinsing with fresh water after every session is still recommended.
What is included with the Surf Tray?
The Surf Tray attaches to E4F rod spikes. It comes with its mounting arm and thumb screws. The rod spike and accessories shown in the photos are not included.
